In this course, you will be shown all aspects of nail, hand and foot care. This course will give you a full and recognised VTCT qualification to perform manicures and pedicures.
The course will cover:
- Health & Safety
- Client consultation
- Contra indications and contra actions
- Relevant Anatomy & Physiology
- Preparation of treatment area, trolley and client
- Equipment and product knowledge
- Benefits of treatments
- Practical tuition in performing a complete manicure to include nail shaping, cuticle care, massage to the hand and arm and all painting techniques.
- Practical tuition in performing a complete pedicure to include nail shaping, cuticle care, hard skin removal, massage to the leg and foot and all painting techniques.
- Specialist treatments such as paraffin wax and heated mittens
- Aftercare Advice
Entry Requirements
No previous knowledge or experience required
You will be required to return in 5 weeks to complete practical assessments and check all coursework. (2 x Manicures, 2 x Pedicures)
Attire
Salon uniform or plain dark trousers and suitable plain top.
Please be aware all nail extension/gels/tips need to be removed before the course
Includes
All models will be provided for practical assessments
Homework and Case study will be given at the end of the 2 days to be completed and handed in on returning assessment day.
